Hybrid, Smart and Double-Up Kitchen
In the new concept of Hybrid , kitchen serves as the heart of the home, seamlessly transitioning from culinary haven to dining oasis, bustling workspace, and vibrant entertainment hub. Design-wise, one must re-imagine the concept of space, crafting environments that effortlessly cater to a medley of activities. Dorn Bracht tip is the expansive island as a true multitasker, equipped with integrated sockets to power laptops, phones, and an array of gadgets. Smart kitchen, the second identified trend, needs the integration of intelligent appliances and fixtures: smart refrigerators, stoves, and lighting systems are setting the stage for an era of voice-command and seamless automation. About the third trend, Double-Up Kitchen, Dorn Bracht underlines that professionalism continues and homeowners choose to double up on the equipment they use most often. Double dishwashers, sinks and ovens are popular, and even double islands – one for preparation, and another for work, meals, and family activities.

Biophilic Home, Sustainable Materials and Natural Stones

Biophilic design is a trend based on the idea that our physical and mental health can benefit from being in proximity to nature and experiencing its calming, rejuvenating effects. Centered on humanity, this approach intertwines natural, crafting spaces that echo the essence of well-being, productivity, and enriched living. Among design choices, we can find natural materials, patterns, textures, and colors that mimic nature, can enhance well-being and have positive, physiological effects. Sustainability is another important trend. Dorn Bracht explains that kitchen is the new place of circularity, not only in regard of a sustainable use of food and energy. Recycled glass, reclaimed wood, bamboo or other renewable resources for countertops, cabinets and flooring are increasingly finding their way to the kitchen. Finally, Natural stones or even lookalikes, offer a stately look and brings a touch of opulence and elegance into modern homes. Often used for kitchen worktops, it creates a timeless expression that is ideal for display in many areas of the home.

Minimalism, Bold Colors and Vintage inspired

Among the other kitchen trends, Dorn Bracht sees a return of the Minimalism of the 80s and 90s. Above all, this means clean lines and clutter-free counter tops. The look with a sleek, reduced design is some kind of reminiscence of the high-tech and minimalism of the past – a trend which is expected to continue in the next years. Other customer choices concern colors and vintage style. Vibrant colors and bold patterns make their way into kitchen design breaking away from a more traditional neutral color palette. This trend can manifest through colorful cabinets, backsplash tiles or accent walls. Plus, colors can ensure a cohesive look or help to divide different areas in the kitchen. Finally, regarding vintage inspired kitchen, echoes of the past intertwine with a modern look to craft an open plan kitchen with a living room flair. The cohesive look is created by using same materials and fabrics throughout the space.
