AMDL Circle: “The laboratory kitchen for a healthy life”

Davide Angeli, Deputy Managing Director AMDL Circle, talks about his vision of the evolution of the kitchen environment and the needs of its users

“Theatre of stories and tales”, is how Davide Angeli, Deputy Managing Director AMDL Circle, defines the environment dedicated to cooking. Not simply a place for preparing food, therefore, but a living space, the environment in which we gather "to share experiences, create memories, nourish the body and mind". And this is reflected in its conception, in the design of its functions and in its relationship with the living area and with every room of the house according to the philosophy of AMDL Circle, which recently signed the new Arrital showcase in Milan. “It is the beating heart of the house, a large container of activities able to transforming and adapting to different needs and the various phases of the day. It is a multifunctional space that must be carefully designed to adapt to this fluidity, with distinctly functional but harmoniously united areas, which encourage interaction and connection among people within the living area space”.

How is the concept of this space evolving as needs change?

We firmly believe that kitchen will continue to be the hub of the home, an authentic domestic fireplace where people come together to share, create and nourish each other, embodying the values of conviviality, hospitality and sharing.

What if you had to imagine the kitchen of the future?

Looking to the future, we believe that kitchen will adapt and evolve to meet the growing demands of a balanced lifestyle, particularly relevant to younger generations. It will be a place of well-being and the expression of healthy behavior, which can also encourage domestic food production and stimulate deeper reflection on food quality and its methods of preparation. In this way, it will become a real laboratory of healthy and sustainable living, where food awareness will join daily practice to promote individual and collective well-being.

How can companies producing kitchens, but also household appliances and accessories, respond to the change that is emerging?

We can imagine kitchen transforming into a new type of technological platform, as happened to the telephone which evolved into a smartphone, and which has now become one of the central hubs for many of our daily activities. In this new type of kitchen, furnishings and appliances will be more and more integrated and connected with us, offering us not only the possibility of preparing food and monitoring our health, but also of managing our daily activities more efficiently. We can imagine, as is already partly the case, being able to consult recipes directly from smart appliances, receive personalized suggestions for a balanced diet and manage shopping directly from the worktop. The kitchen of the future could become a virtual assistant, helping us optimize our time and simplify our lives.
