Arclinea celebrates its first 100 years

To celebrate its anniversary, Arclinea will present a photografic project at Milano Design Week 2025

One hunderd years has passed from the birth of Arclinea, a renowned Italian kitchen company. To celebrate this important anniversary, it will present a uniquely commissioned series of 100 images by photographer Amélie Ambroise. She capture 100 carefully selected Italian ingredients, each embodying time, tradition, ethics, and creativity.

According to Arclinea, together, they reflect the uniqueness of nature, the richness of Italian culinary culture, and the deep connections that have shaped its story.

The 100-year celebration will culminate in a book and a special exhibition during Milan Design Week 2025, from 7 to 13 April 2025. Set against the backdrop of the Milanese showroom on Via Durini, the exhibition is complemented by a display of the most iconic designs by architect and designer Antonio Citterio. This project captures the brand’s commitment to preserving and regenerating diverse food heritage while elevating it as a form of art.

Arclinea was established in 1925 with the name of its founder, Silvio Fortuna Senior, who took up the artisanal carpentry business begun back in 1816. In 1960, Arclinea moved towards the production of kitchen furniture collections. In 1963 the company presented Claudia, the first kitchen with built-in electrical appliances.

Towards the end of the nineties the relationship with Antonio Citterio strengthened and he became the company’s main designer. Responding to changes, at times even anticipating them, combining technical and functional precision, innovation of form and space.

Since December 2018, Arclinea is part of Flos B&B Italia Group, a leading global high-end design group operating a number of legacy brands in the world of luxury furnishings and lighting, with a European cultural heritage.
