The latest convention of Glem Gas with the Italian sales network was the event that officially marked the 65th anniversary of the company’s foundation. It was the occasion to reaffirm its identity as a historic business specialised in the manufacture of cooking appliances with high added value, proud of an Italian manufacturing style and globally respected know-how.
At the same time, Glem Gas reported on its current renewal programme, which aims to evolve its identity without betraying it, focusing on energy transformation and linking the brand’s image with awider, more sustainable perceived offering.
Glem Gas’s decision to open the event with an exceptional gourmet experience at one of the key locations run by chef and entrepreneur Massimo Bottura was inspired by a shared philosophy. Grounded in a profound respect for Italian traditions and an unbreakable bond to the local Emilia region, this concept is nurtured by a constant drive towards innovation and sustainability, which makes both Glem Gas and the famous chef benchmarks in the world of fine cuisine.
Glem Gas state-of-the-art new lines
The next day of the convention, Glem Gas met with its employees and sales network in Modena, its birthplace, for the launch of its state-of-the-art new lines. Its biggest achievement was the introduction of e•line, a range which included all the new products powered exclusively by electricity, enabling consumers to identify them at a glance and thus assist them in choosing the model best suited to every requirement.
The occasion also included a preview of the Specialista cookers with induction hob in the same line, which will be launched on the Italian market for the first time starting in April 2025. The original induction hobs combined with the relative no-drop hoods also derive from a fresh approach inspired by the decision to work towards Carbon Neutrality and consistent with the sustainable design Glem Gas has adopted from the outset, to assist in achieving the goal of zero emissions by 2050.
Another innovation on show at the meeting was the SA line of the iconic Specialista cookers, the brand’s leading product, which offers extremely practical design, greater stability and better ergonomics, ensuring superior performance in terms of cooking results and convenience.
The company’s sustainability targets
With these strategies, Glem Gas responds to and prepares for the market’s evolution, ensuring the highest quality including with regard to environmental stewardship. Thanks to its industrial policy and its intensive research and experimentation programme, the company aims to restrict its carbon footprint even further, reducing its environmental impact on the planet, a priority objective for more than 10 years.
Having decided to minimise energy withdrawal from the grid and thus also CO2 emissions, the next step was to join the project co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, which dovetails perfectly with Glem Gas’s Economy, Society and Environment vision and enables a 50% upgrade in energy efficiency for plants and infrastructure.
